Available for custom work
Nimbus Peak Solutions is a one-person studio in Boulder, Colorado. Alongside its own products, it takes on contract and consulting work for founders, startups, and teams that need a senior engineer who can own a project end to end.
You work directly with me. No account managers, no handoff to a junior team. I'm accepting new engagements and can usually start within a few weeks.
Mobile app development
iOS and Android apps built with React Native and Expo, from a blank repo through App Store and Google Play review. I also take over apps that stalled partway. I've shipped apps professionally in digital health and education, plus my own products under this studio.
Web apps, backends & APIs
Next.js, React, and TypeScript on the front end; Node, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL behind it. The unglamorous parts get done too: auth, migrations, error handling, and a deploy process you can run without me.
Fractional tech lead & advising
Architecture reviews, technical due diligence, hiring and interview process design, and roadmap sanity checks. For early-stage teams that need senior judgment without a full-time CTO on payroll.
Rescue & modernization
Inherited a codebase nobody understands? I do audits, incremental rewrites, and migrations. It's what I spend my days on at Rosetta Stone, leading a ground-up rewrite that spans mobile and web.
Selected work
A couple of recent sites, both taken end to end: design, build, content structure, and deployment. The studio's own products live on the apps page.

A home for a long-running podcast about parenting a dyslexic child. 144 episodes, each with a full transcript, plus a research library, a resource directory, and an appearances calendar. Since a lot of the audience finds reading hard, the site lets readers resize the text, loosen the line spacing, switch to a dyslexia-friendly typeface, or flip to dark mode, and it remembers what they picked.
